Yala National Park Safari

Yala National Park has one of the highest densities of wildlife per square kilometer on the island; it is often described as the finest safari destination in Sri Lanka (a country of immense biodiversity). The park is home to a vast variety of wildlife that each and every day presents new and exciting interactions.
Our staffs are experts in their fields and are more than willing to impart their knowledge on wildlife and photography with you. For our game drives we use customized jeeps driven and lead by our English-speaking drivers/guides who are dedicated to helping you seek out even the most hard to find wildlife in the park. Our jeeps can handle every type of terrain, give an excellent view points for photographers, specially adapted for safari use with comfy seats, pockets to stow your gear and bean bags to steady your camera for those all important photos.
Drives can last anywhere from 2 to 4 hours depending on what’s seen and the requirements of the guests. At yala safari team, our specialty is adapting to your needs and tailoring the Safari experience accordingly

Half day Safari
Morning Safari
In the early morning at about 5.45 am, we enter the park. Then drive towards the Leopards area and try to find Leopards and also Elephants. After that drive the jeep Patanangalla Beach and have a break. After the break, we continue the Safari. Around 10.00 am, we return to the hotel.
Half day Safari
Afternoon Safari
Starts at 2.00 pm. reach the entrance of the park at about 2.45 pm. and try to find Elephants, Birds and animals. Then drive towards the Leopards area and try to find the leopards. In the evening, we will go to watch the Sunset at Yala. It is really amazing. At around 6.00 p.m. go back to the Hotel.
Full day Safari
6 am to 5 am
Starts from 5.00 a.m. and Morning drive continue up to 12.00 a.m. at noon get break near the Beach or near the River, After continue the Safari then at around 2.00 pm. to 6.00 pm. Have the lunch and then enter to the deep jungle and around 6.00 pm We go back to the hotel. This is a full day safari in Yala.
You can spend the day with nice bird songs, animals with fresh air.

ENTRANCE
There are 2 entrances to the Yala National Park, Those are Tissamaharama & Katagamuwa. From the research they have identified that most of the leopard are living in Warahana area.
Since we are using the Katagamuwa entrance & we are passing the Warahan area & you can see the leopard 99%. It is 15 Minutes drive to Katagamuwa entrance from our office.
WHAT TO WEAR
Wear light, cotton clothes such as T-shirts, Shorts/trousers which will help you be comfortable whilst traveling in the park. It is best to wear dark colored clothing that blends with the environment. Colors in shades of dark green, beige, brown and gray are good options. Bringing along a hat is also recommended.
OTHER ACCESSORIES AND EQUIPMENTS
A pair of binoculars is definitely recommended for getting close-up views of animals. a good supply of water is essential, and a stash of food. (E.g. Biscuits, fruits, sandwiches) will also come in handy especially during the morning around.
IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT PHOTOGRAPHY
Bring your longest lens! That said, the Park and its surrounds affords many landscape opportunities and so a combination of lenses will be useful. A bean bag or tripod/mono-pod will also be handy for long lenses, although room for a tripod inside the vehicles may be limited, and will depend on how many people are present. Given the dusty conditions, also bring an extra pillow case or the like to cover your equipment when not in use.
