Arugambay

Undoubtedly the best spot for surfing in Sri Lanka, Arugam Bay is fondly referred to as A-Bay by the surfing community.  Located on the island’s east coast, Arugam Bay lies around four kilometers south of the market town of Pottuvil.

May to September is the best time to visit Arugam Bay as the monsoon kicks in from October onwards. If you‘re not into surfing,take a boatride on the lagoon, a long walk along the coast or alesson on the beach; or simply lie backon the soft sand, and enjoy the sun and sea.
